Build the Material
Four live sessions that turn what you know into material somebody else could pick up and run. This is the program for the person whose knowledge lives in their head and nowhere else.
Cohort forming. Dates go to the list first.
What you get
- 4 live sessions of 90 minutes, one a week.
- One review of your material after the cohort, written, from me.
- A session other people on your team can run without you in the room.
- Everything you build is yours, including anything I write on it.
$950 founding seat, $1,400 standard. Nonprofits, schools and public agencies take 25% off. Two free seats in every cohort.
What we cover
Week 1: scope and the one behavior
What this session changes on Monday, written in one sentence before any slide exists.
Week 2: structure
The shape that works for onboarding, policy and skills, so you are not inventing a format every time.
Week 3: slides and notes
Slides that support a facilitator instead of replacing one, and notes somebody else can follow.
Week 4: hand it off
Running your material in front of the cohort, then cutting the twenty percent that does not earn its minutes.
Who this is for
Subject matter experts, senior HR people, consultants and teachers building something reusable.
If you are not sure this is the right one, book a consult and describe the room. I would rather move you to a different program than sell you this one.
Get the dates first.
Cohorts open to the list before they go public, and a cap of twelve fills quickly.

What happens in each session
Every session runs ninety minutes live, capped at twelve people. The list below is the actual running order, published before you book rather than described on a consult.
Session 1
The behavior sentence
Every session that works starts with one sentence naming what somebody will do differently. Writing it, testing it against what the sponsor actually wants, and refusing the topics that cannot produce one.
You leave able to:
- Write a behavior sentence
- Test it against the sponsor request
- Decline a request that has no behavior in it
Session 2
The one page plan
The session plan format I use for everything, small enough that somebody else can pick it up. Timing, materials, the exercise, the failure points and what to cut first.
You leave able to:
- Build a one page session plan
- Mark the failure points in advance
- Rank content for cutting
Session 3
Activities that survive a different facilitator
Designing practice that works when you are not the one running it. Instructions that cannot be misread, scaling from six people to thirty, and the debrief questions that carry the learning.
You leave able to:
- Write instructions another facilitator can run
- Scale an activity across group sizes
- Write debrief questions that transfer
Session 4
Facilitator notes and the handoff
Turning your session into an asset the organization owns. What goes in the notes, what a new facilitator needs on their first run, and the handoff conversation that stops you being the bottleneck.
You leave able to:
- Write facilitator notes for a first-time deliverer
- Run a handoff conversation
- Hand over a session you no longer have to deliver
