Why this exists
I grew up in East Oakland, ZIP code 94603. In my neighborhood, 3 in 1,000 adults hold a professional degree. Nobody there hands you the playbook for school, for work, or for negotiating what your work is worth.

I learned it the hard way, wrote it down, and started teaching it. I began teaching online in 2017, back when an online class mostly meant a PDF and a discussion board. Later I earned a master's in Human Resources Management focused on online learning design, and a law degree.
I've spent 12+ years in HR, including in-house, and since 2017 I've served 60+ clients through Urban Human Resources. Online Facilitation Skills is how I stop being the only one who can do it.
Urban Human Resources does the work. This is where I teach people to carry it.
Online Facilitation Skills is a brand of Urban Human Resources. Same founder, same standards, same mission, aimed at a different job: training the HR teams, managers and trainers who pass the playbook on inside their own organizations.
The rest of me
I've done stand-up since 2010, including Comedy Oakland shows. Comedy is the best facilitation training I ever had: you learn to read a room in seconds and adjust before you lose it.
I represent WNBA players as a certified agent through MM3 Sports, which is where my negotiation work gets tested at the highest level. And I'm building Keep It Real GPT, AI that doesn't flatter, it sharpens, launching January 1, 2027.
Different rooms, same job: make sure the person who didn't inherit the playbook still gets it.
What I believe about teaching
Everybody deserves the playbook
Not a watered-down version. The same rules the insiders use, said plainly, so nobody has to guess.
Quiet isn't checked out
The person who hasn't spoken yet usually has the idea the room needs. My job is to build a way for it to come out.
Monday is the test
If the training doesn't change what people do the next week, it didn't work, no matter how good the slides looked.
